Working with AI

Instruction files already ship in the repo. Prompt the product, not the plumbing.

.cursorrules and CLAUDE_INSTRUCTIONS.md already teach the stack: Next.js 15 async APIs, Supabase server clients, Stripe webhooks, and the blog file convention. Open the repo in Cursor or Claude Code and those files load.

The useful prompt is specific about what to touch and what to leave.

How to prompt

Name the file
Name the existing pattern to copy
List the folders that stay closed
Keep the change as small as the kit allows

Bad: “Add payments.”
Good: “Gate app/dashboard/layout.tsx on profiles.has_access. Do not edit the webhook.”
